Subject: oh, word?
nice to see some more clambake from this era. this show was really good, as were most of the WNY shows during fall 95. The instrumentation is as follows:
Drums: Dave Hamilton
Guitar: "the bishop"
Sax/Clairinet: Mark Chenevert
Accordian/Vocals: the infallible Maury Rosenberg
Bass: Chris Q
Banjo/Fiddle/Mandolin: Billy Constable

the recording seems like it had azimuth alignment issues during transfer from analog to digital. it sounds very much like the other SBD's from this era of the bake.

Subject: Man, this is great!
After seeing Hypnotic Clambake years ago, and owning a couple CDs, I'm belatedly getting around to downloading shows. Compared to some others I've heard and liked a lot, this I love! The arrangements are tighter, the tempos faster (Square Dance Messiah is NUTS!) and altogether more rockin' (the guitar solos, in particular, are much louder and heavier from other shows I've heard, probably due to changes in personnel.)

When I found this show yesterday there were no comments, and today there is one! Mr. Fez, I take it you used to be in the band. I still listen to Hypnotic Clambake a lot, have learned to play and sing some songs, and proudly wear my HC shirt to festivals. Hope to make it to OUR Fest some day.
